Yi-Chuan Lin (Chinese: 林益全; born 11 November 1985) is a Taiwanese baseball player who plays with the Fubon Guardians in the Chinese Professional Baseball League.
He was the first position player to be named Rookie of the Year and MVP in the Chinese Professional Baseball League the same year.
The 34-year-old first baseman turned pro in 2009 and never had a bad year in his career. Over 5158 plate appearances, Lin Yi-Chuan compiled a career record of .345/.394/.529 with 171 home runs and 1595 hits. Should Lin stays healthy and continues to perform, he is very likely to break the CPBL hit record, which is at 2134.
Chin-lung Hu (born February 2, 1984) is a Taiwanese professional baseball shortstop for the Fubon Guardians of the Chinese Professional Baseball League (CPBL). He previously played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the Los Angeles Dodgers and New York Mets. He was the fifth player — and first infielder — from Taiwan to play in MLB. His last name (along with that of fellow Taiwanese Fu-Te Ni, formerly of the Detroit Tigers) is the shortest in MLB history.
Chiang signed as an infielder for the Boston Red Sox organization in 2005. He was converted to the outfield after the 2008 season. He played for the Double A Portland Sea Dogs since 2010 and has a breakthrough year in 2011. Chiang was honored as Eastern League Player of the Month for June, and was selected to participate in both the Major League Baseball Futures Game and the Eastern League All-Star Game.[1]
Chiang also played for the Chinese Taipei baseball team in the 2009 World Baseball Classic, 2013 exhibition games against Japan and 2017 World Baseball Classic.
