The United States and Taiwan to Convene Economic Prosperity Partnership Dialogue
The United States and Taiwan will hold the inaugural meeting of the U.S.-Taiwan Economic Prosperity Partnership Dialogue on November 20, 2020 in Washington, D.C. under the auspices of the American Institute in Taiwan (AIT) and the Taipei Economic and Cultural Representative Office in the United States (TECRO).
The Dialogue will address critical issues in our robust economic relationship, including secure supply chains, the Clean Network and 5G security, semiconductors, infrastructure development, investment screening, women’s economic empowerment, health security, and science and technology cooperation.
Under Secretary of State for Economic Growth, Energy, and the Environment Keith Krach will be the head of the U.S. delegation with AIT Director Brent Christensen joining virtually from Taipei. Deputy Minister of Economic Affairs C.C. Chen will lead a small delegation to Washington to join TECRO Representative Bi-khim Hsiao at the dialogue in person. Minister without portfolio John Deng, Minister of Economic Affairs Wang Mei-hua, and Minister of Science and Technology Wu Tseng-tsong will participate virtually from Taipei.
